Yep. Keep it Simple Stupid!

A New Year will be along soon and in all things I really want to simplify my life.  I guess stuff like astrology, I Ching and such things like religious journalling helps some people get a grasp on the various areas of life, from a New Age / Psychic view.  As a born-again Christian and Bible reader I see in the words of God and the movements of the Spirit of God amazing provision for this kind of scaling down as a simple expression of coming to terms with the dimensions of faith with regards to the ultimate spiritual reality of Godhead. Life on Earth reaching forward to ETERNAL LIFE
Profound.... strangely livable, the reflective / engaging part of myself seems to appreciate life-aesthetics. That is why the boy does Art! That isn't to say 'heaven can wait' because in a real sense our actions in life are pre-runs to attitudes we unfold on the other side of the great reckoning .
Keeping it Simple means to me great profundity.

I don't think 'being religious' cuts it at all with the true God. It (religion) is mainly about man-stuff, anger and self-righteousness. 'The wrath of man works not the righteousness of God.'. So Keeping it Simple has to go beyond just what we do. For me it is how we answer the calls of conscience, faith, reality, love, relationships, responsibility and self-identified patterns of growth and their ultimate goals in the big plan of life.  Keeping it Simple  is actually a Complex Discipline because life is wondrously articulated to us. Being a rockheaded Darwinian evolutionist is to degrade the dignity of our created being (so the goal cannot be merely postmodern existentialism).  Whhat ideas do you have about living a sim-ple life... Is it a philosophy of nature. A patgh of the soul, a magical form of thinking?  Something else?  The digital paper is in your court.

I can't get into the traditional god stuff...humans are too arrogant to understand the nature of anything. The moral precepts of Jesus got him killed and his word was warped by power-hungry assholes. So many have been killed and tortured in the name of religion...none-the less Spirituality is as a sublime thing! Listening to John Coltrane in 1985...I got it!

Yeah, but I'm glad my disenchantment with historical events of religion hasn't blunted my simple faith in the Saviour's truth and love to me. My opinion is that Jesus Christ is not just a moral teacher who died but a spiritrual saviour capable of transforming our lives utterly for a greater eternal purpose. Nothing else makes sense to me. I've been there, done that and vomited it all up later... psychicism, hypnotherapy, theosophy, astrology, alternate health stuff, tarot, divination, magic, kabbalah, nihilism, austere mysticism and spiritism, drugs, ... I have listened to a lot of stuff that is 'traditional'. A Christian I think is not claiming perfection, or fighting for a cause... just the opposite.. they are saying they are rotten and need a saviour. If you aren't rotten like me.. Jesus Christ is not for you.

In these times people need a unifying moral force of good, the simple yet radical message of Jesus, to me, was warped and perverted by Bishops and Kings and Emperors and politicians to meet their own ends. Like yourself, you see beyond the material, human side used as societal control and an excuse for greed and intolerance...I wish more people saw religion in that light. Personally, raised a catholic educated by mean intolerant nuns who scared the shit out of us...I view religion from a different paradigm...a sense of spirituality missing in our 4Gee new car mass consumption idiocy. I dislike -isms because they tend toward dogmatic intolerance. No one is perfect...that's what makes us human.

Underworld... I think I saw them live in the 90's in NSW. Is that the same guys??? They used to feature a big star on their logo. I like a lot of different kinds of music. Influence is important. Music is Keeping it Simple but it can leave holes that are a bugger to fix up at times.
